Delbert P. Rohloff, 77 years of Fremont, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012 at The Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
He was born April 1, 1935 in Fremont to John and Ella (Heybrock) Rohloff. Delbert grew up in the Winslow and Hooper areas and was a 1954 graduate of Hooper High School. He served in the US Navy from 1954 – 1958 during the Korean War. After his discharge he came to Fremont. Delbert married Janice Dickerson on September 6, 1959 in Fremont. He worked for Geo. A. Hormel and Co. for 37 years retiring in 1996.
He was a 50 year member of First United Methodist Church in Fremont.
Survivors include his wife Janice of Fremont; son, Jeff and wife Lori Rohloff of Fremont; daughter, Jackie Murphy and special friend Larry Law of Omaha; brothers, Melvin and wife Rose Rohloff of Halls, MS and Kenneth and wife Terri Rohloff of Fremont; sisters, June Withuell of Joplin, MO, Leona Griffin of Jackson, NJ and Caroline and husband Mike Bunch of Omaha; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty and 2 brothers, Norwood and Norman.
Memorial Service will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at First United Methodist Church in Fremont. The Rev. Michael McGregor will officiate. Family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. on Tuesday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
Military Flag Presentation will be conducted by the Fremont Honor Guard following the service at the church.
