Alex S. Bolisega

U.S. Veteran

Alex S. Bolisega, 88 years, of Fremont, NE died Wed., April 11, 2012 at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont. He was born March 26, 1924 at Chicago, IL to Peter and Mary (Storzek) Bolisega.

He grew up in Cicero, IL. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII from 9/29/42 to 2/20/46. Alex married Evelyn Birnstihl on January 20, 1949 at Lyons, IL. Alex worked for United Airlines in Chicago until moving to Fremont in 1951. He then was employed at Hormel Foods until retiring in 1986. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #854 and Fraternal Order of Eagles #200 both of Fremont.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; son, Michael “Mike” Bolisega of Fremont; daughter & son-in-law, Sandy & Jim Madden of Omaha; brother-in-law, Fred Polle of Des Moines, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and 3 sisters, Monica, Henrietta & Marie Polle.

Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Monday, April 16, at the Fremont Alliance Church in Fremont, NE. The Rev. Tom Nevius will officiate. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 PM to 8 PM and the family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 PM to 6 PM all at Moser Memorial Chapel, Fremont. Visitation will continue on Monday at church 1hr prior to service. Military graveside service will be conducted by the Fremont Honor Guard of V.F.W. Post #854 and American Legion Post #20 at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Memorials may be given to the Fremont Alliance Church or to the Dodge County Humane Society.
